What Do You Do to Reach Others?

What Do You Do to Reach Others?

January 30

Read: PSALM 72:8-14

During the peaceful protests in Nicaragua against President Daniel Ortega that began in April 2018, more than 600 people lost their lives. The majority were university students, whom the government classified as delinquents and criminals just for thinking differently.

Many of these families, especially the young people, lost hope and were filled with fear. During that time, we decided to hold meetings with young people in rural communities—movie nights, games, snacks, and small devotionals—and we observed how they once again felt young again, filled with aspirations and dreams.

Today many of those young people have the hope that God will do justice and that Nicaragua will surrender at the feet of Christ.

Heavenly Father, I ask you to help me examine myself, see what I am doing to reach others with your love, help me bring hope to those families who have lost it. Thank you for hearing and answering my prayers.  AMEN.
