He Won’t Let You Drown

He Won’t Let You Drown

January 25

Read: Jonah 2

“Then the Lord spoke to the fish, and it spewed Jonah out upon the dry land” (v. 10).

I think we all have a little bit of Jonah in us. Many times I have made some poor decisions, sinking so deep and believing there was no solution to the mess I have gotten into.

Yet even in our disobedience God hears our cry. His mercy and love have no limits, and even more when he has asked us to do something, he confirms that he has not finished with us.

We must seek God in both good times and bad times. Jonah prayed in gratitude for not drowning, and we read how he was released in a spectacular way.

Heavenly Father, I will never stop thanking you for how you have sifted me and freed me from my entanglements. Thank you for providing a way out. Thank you for hearing and answering my prayers in Jesus’s name. AMEN.
