Too Wonderful for Me
Read: PSALM 139:1-6
Who knows you the best? Many would say a brother, sister, a friend, or maybe even a parent. As a parent myself, I feel like I know my children fairly well—what makes them happy, sad, and mad. Yet, there is still so much I do not understand.
Thankfully, our heavenly Father knows each one of us better than anyone else, even ourselves. Psalm 139 starts off by saying with confidence that the Lord knows, understands, and sees every area of our life—thoughts, words, and actions. Not only this, but the Lord surrounds and protects us. This knowledge is too marvelous for the psalmist and beyond comprehension.
It can be a comforting but humbling experience to have your life laid bare before Almighty God. Yet we can give thanks to God for this wonderful news, because we also know he loves us the most and always seeks our best.
Dear Lord, thank you that you know us so well and that we can rest in your arms every day. AMEN.
