Worshiping the Mighty God

Worshiping the Mighty God

October 29

Read: DEUTERONOMY 32:1-5, 44-47

“The Rock, his work is perfect, and all his ways are just. A faithful God, without deceit, just and upright is he” (v. 4).

In our day, people who have lived significant lives, made groundbreaking discoveries, or initiated movements of social change become subjects of biographers or write their own memoirs that capture their perspectives. Moses reaches the end of his life and seeks to share his perspective too. He gathers the people for the final time and sings a song of praise to God’s majesty and power. He still marvels at the wonders he has seen God perform. After all that he has seen, heard, and felt, nothing matters to Moses more than who God is!

What circumstances weigh on you today? What challenges do you face? Follow Moses’s lead and anchor your worship of God with these words of praise. This is not a pointless practice. These are not idle words. This is our life!

God, help me to join Moses in praising you! Remind me that you are God. Remind me that you are my rock and all your works are perfect. AMEN.
