Jesus, the Reflection of God

Jesus, the Reflection of God

October 24

Read: HEBREWS 1:1-4

Recently our granddaughter was born. As with all babies there is great discussion over who she looks like, her mom or her dad. We speculate over her personality and whose nature she reflects.

My granddaughter was in my mind as I read this passage in Hebrews. I marvel over the nature of God and his son Jesus. How Jesus is the exact reflection of God the Father. Jesus is imprinted, an exact duplication of God. What an amazing gift Jesus is to us, the bearer of our salvation. The life and death of Jesus speaks to us about the love of God to the world.

Lord, thank you for your son Jesus. We worship and adore you for the sacrifice of your beloved son and we thank you for the gift of salvation. AMEN.
