Proper Suffering

Proper Suffering

Wednesday, May 27

“If I who make a great effort may not reach eternity, what about you who do nothing?” These are Pastor Chema’s words when someone complains about suffering.

We all suffer in different ways and for different reasons. There is where we find the big difference. Do we suffer because of our own errors and mistakes? Or do we suffer for the sake of Christ?

If we are suffering properly, let me assure you that the Spirit of God dwells in you. If not, maybe we need to look at ourselves and ask why we are suffering. If we suffer, or see somebody suffering, let us take that chance to share words of comfort and hope, not only for those who believe, but more for those who do not believe yet. Doing this will lead us to the perfection of the family of Jesus Christ.

Give us the compassion to comfort those who are suffering. Amen.
