(May 12, 2020) – The Covenant Ministerium, made up of credentialed Covenant clergy, is seeking nominations for three new awards intended to honor women in ministry.
The ShePreaches award will be presented to “a woman with exceptional preaching abilities—whose proclamation of the good news speaks truth and breathes life into those whom she disciples, teaches, and impacts.”
The SheLeads award will be presented to “a woman with exceptional leadership capacities—whose authority, wisdom, and creativity builds up ministries and people to be more effective and strong gospel witnesses.”
The SheAdvocates award will be presented to “a woman with exceptional gifts of advocating—whose courage, resilience, and faithfulness empower others and bring liberation and hope to the vulnerable and oppressed.”
Each of the awards includes a $1,000 grant.
All nominees must be women who are members in good standing of the ECC Ministerium, have been active in ministry for at least ten years, are not employed full-time by Covenant Offices.
Nominations may be submitted now through June 30. The awards will be announced on July 17. People submitting nominations do not have to be clergy.
