Rooted in Love

Rooted in Love

Friday, May 1

Today’s passage points to the initiation of the deep love of the Creator for humanity to which God sent Godself to redeem us. It has several parallels to John 3:16: “For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life.”

Because God is holy, we are to live out holiness by living out God’s demonstrated love. Love is an active verb—it is a doing rather than just feeling. Our love for others should be lived in a way that we give witness to the transformative work of the Holy Spirit.

As a community of believers we are invited to live out God’s love for the world in tangible ways so that the world may know God ‘s immense love for us.

May we live our lives in constant awe of your love that moves us to live it out for others in full ways. Amen.
