Easter Sunday, April 12
Have you ever seen a really great sunrise? It begins with a gradual lightening of the darkness. Then the sunlight pierces the sky, shooting beams of brightness into the day. Within minutes it sets the sky ablaze in colors—red, orange, pink, purple, blue, and yellow—all dancing together to push out the night and herald the day.
It can take your breath away. And it happens every single morning.
On Easter Sunday, we celebrate the rising of the Son. With the sunrise, he pushes death and darkness away and rises up with endless beauty and love, giving us not just a new day, but a new life.
Consider what the Son has given to you this Easter. As you see the sunrise, know the risen Son awaits.
Join in this daily celebration with joy, hope, peace, and, most of all, love. For this is his invitation to us every day with his message in the sunrise.
Christ, let me see your love in every sunrise. Amen.
