Day 7 Gift Idea: Legacy Reaches and Empowers Children

CHICAGO, IL (December 6, 2018) – Throughout the Advent season, Covenant Newswire is highlighting daily gift selections from the CovenantCares giving guide. Through the free annual catalog, Covenanters can partner with brothers and sisters around the globe to give gift donations that will help serve communities and advance God’s work in many areas.

Today we highlight Legacy, an initiative that offers new opportunity to reach out, engage parents, empower kids, and develop thriving children’s ministries. Legacy includes half-day events for local congregations that bring together pastors, church leaders, and children’s leaders to assess, celebrate, and dream about how to effectively minister to and with children. Each church decides on a plan that works best for their context.

Legacy also provides resources as well as coaching for local congregations.

Children who do not feel valued in the church are more likely to leave when they are older. When children are engaged in the life of the church, they are more likely to continue deepening their walk with Jesus when they are older.

This and other missional gift-giving options are available now through CovenantCares Gifts for Mission. Please join us in advancing the mission.
