William Lopez, 34

Church Planter, Worship Leader, and Discipler
Pan y Vino Covenant Church
Overland Park, KS

William says it was more of a call than a decision to leave his native Honduras with his wife, Caroline, to join the ministry of a new Covenant church plant in Carthage, Missouri. “There were many changes, but I also was happy for a new adventure in my life,” he says.

During his three years in Carthage he learned more about the Covenant. “I love the affirmations and the Covenant’s passion as a denomination to expand the kingdom,” he says. “God gave us a desire to plant a church here that had biblical values and principles, a church that changed the religious parameters, and enjoys the love of God and his grace, mercy, and forgiveness.”
