BATAVIA, IL (April 3, 2017) — Memorial services for E. Jeanette (Landholm) Dieckman, wife of retired Covenant pastor Larry Dieckman, will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 15, at Country Evangelical Covenant Church in Campton Hills, Illinois. She died Tuesday, March 28.
Jeanette, 76, was born on January 13, 1941, in West Point, Nebraska, the daughter of Carl John Edwin and Ruth (Persson) Landholm. She grew up in Oakland, Nebraska.
Jeanette attended Immanuel Lutheran Hospital nurses training in Omaha, Nebraska, where she received her nursing license. She worked as a nurse for six years until she had her first child.
She married Larry Dwayne Dieckman on July 8, 1967, at the First Covenant Church in Omaha, Nebraska. The couple served Fairfield Covenant Church in Haxtun, Colorado; First Covenant Church in Tracy, California; Rosedale Covenant Church in Bristow, Nebraska; and the Evangelical Covenant Church in Mead, Nebraska. She served as a volunteer in multiple roles for Covenant Women.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Amy (David) Seedorf; two sons, William (Sandra) Dieckman and Jonathan (Jennifer) Dieckman, and two grandchildren.
A memorial has been established in Jeanette’s name at Country Evangelical Covenant Church, 43W510 McDonald Road, Campton Hills, IL 60124. Tributes also may be forwarded to the same address, or posted on the Conley Funeral Home Facebook page or website.
