Annual Meeting News-Photo-Video Section Available

ESTES PARK, CO (June 29, 2011) – Given the volume of daily news stories coming out of the 126th Annual Meeting currently under way, stories in the online Covenant news report do not remain very long in the top headlines area of the Covenant website home page, transitioning instead into the full news report section and news archive.

For the convenience of readers, the home page of the Covenant website section displays a special link to all of the news stories, photo galleries, video presentations and live broadcast archives, as well as other resource material.

Each of the five worship services – three evening and two morning services – are being broadcast live over the Covenant website. For more information on the times and how to access the live broadcast, visit the Covenant website home page or the CovChurch.tv web area. Two other events during the business sessions will also be live broadcast – the welcoming of new churches into the Covenant at 10:30 a.m. (CDT) Wednesday, and the report by President Gary Walter at approximately 11:30 a.m. (CDT) Wednesday.

The daily online news report, live broadcasts, social media updates and video updates are being produced by a seven-member team that includes Don Meyer, executive minister and editor; Stan Friedman, news editor; Evy Lennard, photo manager; Joshua Havens, Media Center director; Luke Johnson, Media Center associate; Ben Eash, Interactive Services director, and Warren Dillaway, staff photographer for the Ashtabula (OH) Star Beacon and a member of First Covenant Church in Ashtabula.

Assisting with online coverage and working out of the Chicago offices are Steve Luce, creative director, and Sarah Johnson in the Interactive Services office. A detailed follow-up story also will appear in the August issue of The Covenant Companion.

Jon McFadyen of the Information Technology department at Covenant Offices is providing on-site technology support, working closely with Joe Geary, Information Technology director. Bookstore Manager Kevin Kempe is operating the on-site Covenant Bookstore.
