Seminary President Interviews to Begin This Fall

“One Dry Throne”

This man sitting on this throne is not an actor. He’s was hand-picked by the president of Mexico to help weed out the corruption due to narco-trafficking. Life has been very hard for many Mexicans and safety has been compromised due to the corruption within the law system itself.

In my mind there is always this strange combination of selfish pride and faith. In this verse, James and John were asking for a position at Jesus’ right and left hand in “his glory.” I ask myself constantly if the things I do have any hidden agenda that will be exposed by Christ in some way that will cause others to be displeased with me. As much as it is a portrait of a person of power, so it is a picture that exposes the truth that I know can exist in my heart: Where do I get to sit?
